Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and who else is involved.

Last updated

This policy explains how Tag & Tissue, published by MadGrey LLC, handles information when you visit https://tagandtissue.com. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than in legal boilerplate.

What we collect

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive at the site. This collects a truncated IP address, your approximate location (usually country or region), your device and browser type, which pages you viewed, and whether you clicked a product link. It is aggregated and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Information you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter so that we can reply. Submissions arrive as email; they are not stored in a database on this site.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs for security and reliability purposes.

What we do not collect. We have no user accounts, no logins and no newsletter list. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. Affiliate retailers — Amazon in particular — set their own cookies when you follow a product link, so that a purchase can be attributed to this site. Those cookies are set by the retailer under their policies, not by us.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you reading anything on this site.

Affiliate tracking

When you click a product link here you pass through our own /go redirect and then on to the retailer. The redirect appends an affiliate tag so the retailer can attribute a sale; it does not record personal information about you. What happens after you arrive at the retailer is governed by the retailer's privacy policy. Full detail on the commercial relationship is on our affiliate disclosure page.

Third parties with access to data

  • Google (Analytics) — aggregated usage analytics.
  • Vercel — hosting and request logs.
  • Microsoft — delivery of contact form email.
  • Affiliate retailers — only once you click through to them.

How long we keep things

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings. Contact form emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up. Server logs are retained by our host on their own schedule.

Your choices and rights

You can block cookies, use a browser that limits tracking, or use Google's own Analytics opt-out. Depending on where you live you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you — in practice, that will usually mean any email you have sent us. To make a request, email contact@tagandtissue.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, this page is updated and the last-updated date above changes with it.
